Under sermon recordings we have a recording of The Mission of St. Philip Neri, Part 1, a sermon delivered by St. John Henry Newman in 1850, on the anniversary of the first year of the Birmingham Oratory.

Newman describes the spiritual and moral decadence of Florence and Rome at the time immediately preceding the birth of St. Philip Neri in Florence. He also paints the picture of Savonarola and his failed religious reform which occurred at this very time.
